Employee productivity tracking features

Five things measured properly, rather than forty reports nobody opens. Each one has its own page below, with what is captured, what is deliberately not, and the questions we get asked about it.

End to end

How a working day becomes a number

Four steps, none of which asks anyone to remember to press a button.

  1. Install Roll the agent out with your existing MDM, or let people install it themselves.
  2. Measure Tracking starts at login. Nobody has to remember to press anything.
  3. Classify Active, idle, meeting and away time separated against your own thresholds.
  4. Decide Weekly and monthly patterns, not a daily leaderboard.

In more detail

How the pieces fit together

The modules are not separate products bolted together. Attendance is derived from tracked activity; the dashboard reads from all of it; app usage explains what the active hours were spent on.

Time Tracking

Manual timesheets are guesses written on a Friday afternoon. BeActive records hours as they happen — first login to last activity, broken down by day, shift and project — so the numbers you plan and bill from are the numbers that actually occurred.

  • Automatic start and stop at login
  • Overtime and after-hours flags
  • Per-project and per-client attribution
  • Rounding rules you configure

Activity & Idle Time Monitoring

The gap between "logged in for nine hours" and "worked for nine hours" is where operational problems hide. BeActive measures active time, idle time and away-from-system time separately — and shows every employee exactly the same view their manager sees.

  • Configurable idle thresholds
  • Active, idle, meeting and away states
  • Per-employee self-service dashboard
  • No keystroke logging, ever

App & Web Usage

Knowing that someone was active for seven hours is useful. Knowing which seven hours went to the CRM, the ticket queue, spreadsheets or a browser tab nobody can justify is what actually changes how a team works.

  • Desktop application usage
  • Website usage by domain
  • Custom productive / neutral / non-work groups
  • Per-role and per-site comparison

Under it all

One agent, one platform, one set of numbers

The five modules are views onto the same measured day rather than five products stitched together. That is why attendance can be derived from tracked activity, and why the figure a manager sees in a report is the same figure the employee sees in their own dashboard.

  1. Dashboards, exports and API The same numbers for managers and for the people measured.
  2. The BeActive platform Encrypted in transit and at rest, with data residency options.
  3. Desktop agents on Windows and macOS Always visible to the person it runs on. No covert mode.

Which of these would change a decision you are making this quarter?

That is the useful question, and it is what a demo call is for. Twenty minutes on your team structure, not a feature tour.
